Well I’ll be sporting a new type of swimwear this go around. I have to say fellas, once you do the short ones, you will never want to put on board shorts again.
Might be interesting to re-start the poll, now that 5 years have passed and square-cuts are more popular. When I was at TTR in 2013, maybe only a couple of guys were wearing them, and possibly I am actually remembering seeing Speedos rather than square cuts.
Haha the wife bought me a pair of square cut so i got 5 months to wiggle into them! It’s only fair bc I’ve asked her to wear next to nothing!
I wear all square cuts... Wife loves them!! Its TTR who cares.... Just do what you feel comfortable with and maybe a little bit more
I started wearing the square cuts a couple years ago, I was only brave enough to take 1 pair. Now all my shorts for TTR are square cuts.
Sean's decision to try square cuts on our next trip came with a big bonus: when we got home, he told me he wanted to join a gym! I have been gently prodding him to exercise regularly for the 6 years I have known him, for general health as much as forgetting in shape. But as we all know, you can't make that decision for people...they need to get to the point mentally where they are willing to do the work. However, as I write this, 5 days have gone by in Sean's new gym membership, and he hasn't gone there once LOL. The trade-off is that I am going to buy my first Malibu Strings suit, as Sean would like me to wear a thong. I guess the bonus that comes with that request is that it will force me to hit the gym even harder than I already do. Sigh. I might have to quit my job. So....the moral of this story is that going to Temptation is actually GOOD for your health!
Match - love all your posts (thanks for the play by play last trip) but will respectfully have to disagree ......yes - maybe externally good for your health but my math says that TTR alone has cut 3.9 years off of the useful life of my liver. However, my brain tells me that those 3.9 years at the end and won’t be that much fun so “fuck it” ....YOLO! Not going to weigh in on the swimsuit discussion, you know my preference and @ScubaSteve and I killed this topic last year!
Mike, OF COURSE Temptation is horrible for your health! But let me have my moment trying to justify it!
Here's the ones I bought for Sean to ease him into square cuts. He likes the camo ones so much that we are going to buy the same one in another color, so he has 3 pairs for next April. They are not as long on his leg as on the Amazon models, as Sean is 6'2".
