Just because I am a mean IT guy, try putting HTTPS:\\Cancun Vacation Guide | Cancun Tours and Hotels in your browser and see what happens. In a lot of cases it will circumvent any blocking they have in place hehe. Not that I would tell you how to get around anything, this is just a security check of course. FYI, filtering, adjusting and blocking HTTPS has been forbidden for many years, its a security thing. Only recently, in the last few years has it become more main stream, and only if you have spent the money on a device that supports it. My users used to do that with facebook, they thought I could not see or stop them, but they were wrong. A lot of sites automatically default to HTTPS now.
Fortunately I work from home so none of my web traffic goes through the companies firewall...but even when I did work from the office I found other ways around it Yes I'm an IT geek lol
I just noticed that I am blocked at work too, not sure how long it's been in effect because I usually use my phone anyway. I'm not a fan of someone looking over my shoulder at what I am reading so I'm good with using my smartphone although I hope the filter doesn't effect Steve and the site in a negative way.
I haven't tried it in a while but I will bet it's blocked at my work too now. That may also mean I can't use work's wifi to get here on my phone anymore too. I will have to try it tomorrow.
I only use my phone for this at work. Can't take a chance someone wanders by and sees the site. We tell everyone we stay at the Oasis! Besides one of my staff just went to TTR in January and still won't look me in the eye when I asked about his trip. Apparently my reputation as a straight-laced mommy couldn't handle the place!
Ah yes...but we all know the straight laced quiet ones are the ones that are WAY out of control. Just ask him, "What is this sexy pool people keep talking about" and see if he blushes
y work blocks everything, all internet. Can't have viruses getting on any of our computers. Best I can do is google, but the minute you try to open. Blocked.
