While the Bliss Cruise was not TTR, we had an absolute blast. We arrived at the ship after taking a redeye from SLC to MIA. The boarding was uneventful, and by noon we had drinks. Drinks: I (Al) had purchased the basic alcohol package (beer) while Kristie had the premium. We have only cruised Carnival and Royal Caribbean before. They had a 15 drink per day cap. On this cruise, there were no caps on the number of drinks, you just had to stay in your category (or you paid for it). They were pushing the alcohol packages pretty hard the first day or two. I feel it was worth it in the long run. They had multiple alcohol stations set up, outside of the "normal" ones on the deck. Unfortunately, despite all of their preparation, they just could not keep up with the demand. Some servers were slow. Others ran out of some drinks. Specialty bars, like the martini bar, could keep up just fine. I don't think they had enough "trained" people to serve alcohol and that resulted in long lines at times. Rooms: Like at Temptation, we opted for the cheapest room. (We were there for sleep, sex and showers). The rooms are standard fare cruise cabins. Not too bad. Pool/Deck: This was the place to be for most of the cruise. They had entertainment that was surprisingly much tamer than TTR. The pool was a little cold, and the hot tubs were hit and miss. It was easy to meet people, met several other TTR refugees. There were likely 2/3 people nude, and most women were topless. Solarium: Nice place to get a little quiet during the day, frisky at night. At night, when it was time to clear out, there was usually no warning, just all the lights would come on and shouts of "time's up, let's go!". Sad. Theme nights: There had to be about 90% participation every night. Women could go topless. All of the nights, Green, Fairy Tale, BDSM, Rave and lingerie were well represented. No one was in a "splinter group" doing their own thing. Good DJ's. We stayed up past 2 or 3 each night, drinking, dancing and socializing. Staff: The entire crew was friendly. Room service was great. No towel animals, though. We did not her one complaint about them from anyone. The Bliss staff was fantastic, and went out of their way to be extra friendly. We went to a couple of M/G's, and the Dominatrix of Ditty show. Look her up. Hilarious. Food: Not so great. Buffet was OK, formal dining room had small selections, and small portions. Least favorite part of the trip was eating. People: Found lots of friendly people to talk to. Not really any rude people. There were 2200 passengers on the boat. There were dry erase boards for everyone to hang on their doors. Very handy to get/give messages, but still, it was hard to meet up with people without being very specific about where and when. Very crowded at times, you could miss someone easily. It was suggested to bring a few business cards with names, room numbers, place for other contact info (phone, social media). This was a good idea, and how we were able to reconnect with a few people. Bonus: We've met our share of very nice singles, but couples only and no creepers. There were a number of non lifestyle people on the boat. Nobody was pushy, or needed to be. Plenty of fish in the sea... (See what I did there?) Excursions: Unlike TTR, when the boat is on port, there isn't much "fun". We went on a trip to Uxmal, (nicer in some ways than Chichen Itza), and on the takeover of the Playa Mia beach. That was fun, but not wild and crazy. Would we go again? YES. On Celebrity? NO, for the few the negatives above. Maybe we're cruise snobs. There is a Royal Caribbean in November 2018 that we are strongly considering. A little pricey? Yes, but we were ok with it.
