My dentist is concerned about my tongue :? and says I have to have a biopsy. She told me the physician she made a deal with (what kind of deal???) would charge me 5,000 pesos. Five thousand pesos for a biopsy???

Does someone know about this kind of intervention, and can recommend someone? She says it is maxillar and facial surgery... not sure the tongue is part of that :-o and it is certainly not a surgery!

    Thanks

See if your dentist can refer you to an oral surgeon for this. Dentistry in the USA is starting to branch out a bit (more than a bit!) into other kinds of cosmetics... and spotting and removing lumps in the oral cavity (taking biopsies). Perhaps that service is also available in your area?
