A rollercoaster indeed. Congratulations to your son for performing so well at the regional swim meet. As a freshman, he has so much potential for going all the way over his next three years. Very very exciting. I have a niece who is a freshman and is second chair in her high school orchestra (she would have been first chair, but the conductor thought it would be unfair to the senior who had expected to get that position this year). She also finished eight chairs out of the all-state orchestra. Not bad for a freshman. As I say, these young people have the opportunity to grow and improve their skills and become perhaps be at the tops in their class.
Thanks for everybody's support. He has accomplished a lot for a freshman and we're extremely proud of him. He has been swimming competitively for nine years now. Three years ago, he dropped all other sports to focus on swimming. He is in the pool at 5:15 am five days a week and swims three afternoons a week for his USA team. He usually logs about 20 miles a week in the pool during practice. Although his high school swim season is over for the year, his USA season is year round. Heck, he has another meet this weekend. He has worked hard and we're extremely proud of him. Marsh
