Our first day there, set down my bag, along with my fav sandals, stolen in just a few mins. I have had my sandals/his sneakers left behind on the boob cruise..never found again Be sure to watch over your shoes, and bring the cheap ones to the pool/cruise!!
Thanks for the advice guys. We did check with the front desk and everywhere. I then spent the rest of the holiday checking everyone's hats but I guess the thief wasn't stupid enough to wear it around the hotel. I know it's "just a cap" but it was a gift from my boyfriend's aunt who lives in San Francisco who he spent part of his inheritance to go visit. Sentimentality should never be overrated. Credit cards can be cancelled but there's not much I can do about missing property. In some countries, thieves get their hands cut off!
OK, I was confused by the thread title. I read it as I was supposed to worry about my belongings attacking me or some such. I get it now. Yes, agreed, you "should" have watched the hat if it was that special. But, yes, sometimes people suck. No, it wasn't me. It does hurt to lose something special to yourself and I hope it turns up.
We've been lucky I guess ... only item stolen was my "little red dress" which was removed at the sports pool by me and placed on one of the beds - but I take full responsibility - lol - didn't upset me at all; I was having way too much fun and the "run" back to our room was interesting to say the least - bahaha!!! :xyxthumbs: Cheers, :beer4: C
The pool is usually closing down at this time, someone thought it was left behind. You could leave most anything by the pool from 8am until about 5pm and I would bet it would still be there. After that its a crapshoot...
