I have done that booze cruise twice also and we had nothing but a great time. The food wasnt that great but it wasnt bad either, it was something to soak up the included alcohol they kept "forcing" on me! All the other tours we booked with Sergio went as expected also. I wouldnt hesitate to book with them again. I am really sorry you didnt have a good time.
I'm kind of confused.... You went out on the boat for the two hours, went to Carlos and Charlie’s, were served the buffet that is there every week unless it's changed for the first time in years (where you get spaghetti, beef fajita mix, chicken fajita mix, a salad and some rice), actually got to go sit in the larger area than having to stay with the party in the back, and then got a cab ride home so you didn't have to wait for the late bus. As for the 100-110 km/hr ride in the taxi.. that 60 mph on a 4 lane high way.. I just rode 90 km down that same road on a bus. I don't think he was as unhappy about making a fare as taking the fare to where it wanted to be and then getting back to the party zone to get a new fare. Doesn't sound any different than every other Friday night cruise as far as the agenda or meal. I will grant you that depending on the crowd it can be either totally wild or boringly tame. But the folks that sell the cruise can't control that. So other than the "crazy" cab ride what were you promised that wasn't delivered? I mean that can have a direct bearing on the type and amount of "compensation" you might be due? What were you asking for in compensation? I mean for $45 per person, 2 hours on the boat with drinks, buffet dinner (although it might not have been what you were expecting but did you ask the menu before you went?) an additional 2 hours at C&C with drinks, and transportation home. Sounds like you got what was promise. I've seen them sell that tour for years now and never seen it advertised as anything else? So what were you looking for to make you whole again that they wouldn't give you that made you carry through on your threat to post a topic like this on CC when you got home? People that know me, know I am fiercely loyal to my friends, and I take exception to them being called lairs and rip off artists. So that's why I'm asking for the rest of the story to be told. Jamie
People should also be aware that Sergio has been posting Miss Temptation videos on youtube. He was caught filming it during the 1st week of May and someone found it on facebook. The lady who won wasn't happy because she didn't want her boyfriend to see it.
I've tried to stay out of this thread for obvious reasons but I probably ought to step in and say a couple of things. Firstly, I should say please don't use posting details on cancuncare as a threat (I dont know, I wasn't there but Jamie suggested this might be the case). While I will never censor people posting their feedback about the hotel please don't use the forum to further personal gripes. We should also leave "I'm defending my friend" issues out of it too - because those comments are not objective either. Facts are facts, lets keep it to the facts. Cancuncare is an independent site totally separate to the hotel, good (usually 95%) is permitted, bad (usually 5%) is permitted too. I aim not to delete or censor anything, if I did the site would lose credibility. That said, if true, a response of when people are unhappy with their tour is imho extremely poor customer service, but in my experience of 7 years living here and vast experience of many different tour companies it is not uncommon.
I posted the facts clearly as they happened. Others should be aware of the tour we got so they can choose to take the tour, not take the tour or ask more questions about what they will get. As I said, things can happen but any good business man will make an effort to correct an issue. Certainly appologize when there is a screw up but to have the attitude that, you survived the night if you were not happy thats to bad, is poor business practice in my OPINION. I don't believe I made any threats on this forum?
I have to agree with Jamie on this one... It sounds to me that Albatross delivered on thier end of the deal. You got a boat tour, a meal, all the drinks you wanted, admission into a club and transportation back to the resort. Perhaps your expectations were to high over things that the tour company had little or no control over. Do you really expect them to control the temprature in Cancun, the quality of the inexpensive meal provided for the minimal cost of your excursion or the driving habits of a Mexican taxi??? I hate to say it, (but anyone who knows me knows I will....) It sounds to me like you expected more than what you paid for. You got a 45 dollar excursion. Next time, don't go so cheap. If you wan't a steak and lobster, don't buy a grilled cheese sandwich.... Just saying....:huh:
