IMO, the customer service at TTR is great at every area of the resort except for the check-in area, and they can be a pain. I would save my breath and time about calling early, and focus on asking very nicely for a certain area when you check in. Remember that some guest will have late checkout, and not all rooms will be ready when you arrive.
I like the ones overlooking the quiet pool and I dont want to be on the first floor. So if it were ME that is what I would be requesting.
I was above Patti O's with a partial view of the street but the staff and people I met still made it one of the best vacations I've had.
rooms We have been there 4 or 5 times and only got 1 bad room. We had to stay in it one night but the next day they gave us keys to 2 other rooms and let us pick which on we wanted. Both were beautiful, we chose one with a huge round couch and a very private patio.
