I was hoping for some domestic American beer besides xx . If xx on tap is cold I can drink it but usually at resorts it's not very cold and ice in it doesn't make it much better.
It's really funny to read people arguing about either XX and Coors being superior as a craft beer person (or beer snob). Unfortunately all the beer is right around the same level. It's not like Dogfish, Stone, or Russian River are severed down there. I still couldn't fathom paying extra for Coors light though. :banghead:
Craft beers are fine,, but you got to remember , beers drinkers can put back an easy 12 to 20 beer, drinking all day in the sun,, so a light tasting beer might better fill that gap. Would be nice if they kept some specialty beers at the sports bar for a treat at night. ( of course they would charge more $ )
I just NOW figured out hat my original reply got hacked up by the system. I should check my work. Bad on me for drunk-posting. The #4 is Sol, which I actually prefer during the day,. Superior at the restaurants for dinner as it seems more... robust. That's a beer lover talking, y'all. Recognize. *snort*
FWIW I havent seen anyone argue which beer is superior. I just stated that XX was horrible and that anything else would be better. I am a bit of a beer snob too, I used to brew also.
Pay extra for crappy water...aka Coors? I know Coors is the banquet beer but I've never been to a banquet I was drunk enough at to want it. Personally I'm a Boulavard Brewing Co fan but I know I won't be seeing anything from them in Cancun! Last time I was there xx was the only thing available. I'd be happy to see Tecate and Corona if I can find a lime laying around that hasn't been used in a body shot.....ok...even if it has been used possibly by the end of the day
