I have used both, and I prefer the Tervis tumbler. It is more like a real glass than the plastic Bubba mug. Tervis also sells snap on lids for the mugs, which helps keep it even colder. I use the 16 oz. Drinks are cold all the way to the end, and I actually like going up to the bar to get drinks, its a great way to meat new people.
I had this debate at walmart and went back and forth between the 29 different styles lol. I almost went bubba mug, dont get me wrong they are nice, but in thend just seemed unruly in size. Definitely ensure you get something that is double walled. I ended up with a 20oz mug and to be honest I think it worked out quite well.
