the beaches are fine, I am here now at Portofino Bay View Grand KM 9.5 and there is a good 40 feet. The beaches are much larger then only 2 months ago. Mother nature brough them back. see image below, the beach is same or better then this photo I took in January http://images.channeladvisor.com/Sell/SSProfiles/40000049/Images/5/pool_010.jpg and no this week there is no boogie boarding unless you plan on using the boogie board as a float. There is zero waves and the Caribbean is like a large swimming pool. Been that way all week
