Recently a few hotels including the Marriotts had rocks all over their beaches, has this changed? If you recently returned from Cancun, can you say if your resort had good, or poor beach conditions? I think this would be very helpful for those who are traveling in the near future... plus I'm curious :?:  :?

It was really rocky at the Omni so we either stayed at the pool or went to Oasis's beach.

The beach at the Park Royal couldn't have been any better.

the beach on the top of the 7 at the Carrousel (km3.5) was great up to the water (wide even beach with few rocks). There were the big black rocks out in the water, cleared away so you could follow the path out to the sandbar.

I walked the beach from the Oasis to the Cancun Palace, and I must say that for the most part they were quite nice aside from the occasional narrow spot or the recurring ledge.

I thought the recurring edge was a major problem near the oasis. There was a few rocky areas near the oasis but good spots weren't hard to find. I probably wouldn't stay in this area again.

The southern portion (near Omni) of Oasis was bad but the center part seemed okay.

And yeah, I think I may want to stay toward the top of the 7 next time. I really enjoyed staying at the Omni though. It was a gorgeous hotel except the beach.

Who was it that was saying one of the beaches was trashed the other day?

I found it very hard to walk on the beach near the water by the oasis because the beach was at a constant slant.

Wow, that's news to me about the beaches near the Oasis' and Omni not being in great shape. Thank you guys for the heads up on that.
