We love beach volleyball!!! Only problem is my knee doesn't...so I have to take it easier than I would like when I play. We will be there the 9th through the 16th too. See you on the beach.
For those of you playing, here's a heads up. There's concrete not too far beneath the surface of the sand. I found out the hard way. Same game I had my finger dislocated, I slid on my knees underneath the net at an attempt at digging a ball that had been hit into the net and put a quarter size hole on my knee where it tore all the skin off. It took over a month to heal completely.
Thanks for making this point. When I was there in December there was a group of eastern European guys there who were way too competitive, and were coming down on their opponent's legs when playing at the net. I would not play when they were playing because I was afraid of getting hurt. A little competition is fun, but no one wants to break their leg on vacation, or feel like you are not welcome to play because you are not "good enough".
Tina and I cant wait to play from 4/14 till 4/21, along with drinks delivered I may need SPF 10000 for my back and other spots that might sizzle up on me. Thanks Mommabear in advance!!!
