Awhile back it was reported they had begun pumping sand back to the beach area, is this still in progress? if complete did it improve the beach?
In early January, the beach area was significantly larger than before. In 2008, there was just a path along the Asian restaurant, and now there is a large beach. The beach was probably 50-100' larger along most of the property. Covered up most of the rocky areas along the shore. Great improvement
We were there in dec. they had about 80 ft. of sand bag put out to seperate the boats from the beach and started pumping the sand. they are trying to raise the whole beach about 2 ft. when we left after 2 wk.it was out about 60 ft. and over half done. they had jackhammered some rocks out before the sand was pumped. when we went back the end of Jan. the water that was up to the deck at the chinese was out about 60 ft. and the horseshoe pits were put down there. where you walked off the beach to the pools had 1 ft. boards across them with the sand up to the top of them. there was a good 65 ft. of sand from the last row of teeke hut out. you had to walk down to get into the water and they were still pumping it has been a great job so far.
