Beach resoration is at the Royal Solaris...KM19 ish. If your hotel is between KM1 and KM 18, you are good. BIG BEACHES....No worries. The Riu Hotels are above Punta Cancun, and those beaches were not restored. They are still nice and big. They were in much better condition then those at Dreams and south to the Westin.
I switched hotels because there is beach restoration in Playacar, I am now staying in Cancun. It is where I wanted to stay to begin with, so I am happy.
