ive been lookin at some pics on trip advisor and it looks like the beach is no more at a few places... im staying at the barcelo tucancun does anybody know how the beach is there??
there is a considerable shelf and some beach erosion down most of the ocean side... but since you're already booked, don't sweat it much... just get there and enjoy what you see. the water is still the same amazing blue/green, and there is plenty of sand.
I'm staying at Tucancun as well. There is some beach there still. I was originally staying at the Gran Caribe Real, there is practically no beach left there.
While the beach is an added pleasure, I am sure most will not spend much time there except to sleep. Go, enjoy, make friends, take lots of pics.
