The Rui is the tallest in Cancun I believe. A lot of thr locals think it is too big and looks out of place in that it is a such a huge resort jammed into the area it's situated on.

:-| ouch is right I stayed at the riu the first year i was there... stayed on the 4th floor tho. Its a great spot (well except for this recent event)
Me too. It's almost like a vertigo thing. It's a great resort and I enjoyed staying there but for where it is it is much too big. They should have put it farther down on Kukulcan Blvd where there was more room.

hell, last year at your guys hotel you all had the window open looking straight down! That was scary but I was drunk so I didnt care!
