Does anyone know of a store in Cancun where you can purchase a stainless steel gas BBQ Grill? We have checked Liverpool, Sears, Home Depot, Sam's and Costco.

I'm going to move this over into the Life in Cancun forum.

I think the locals will have that answer more than the tourists would.

We bought ours (not huge) from Commercial Mexicana, I've also seen them at Walmart and Costco.

It may be a seasonal thing , as we approach "winter" :D perhaps their focus is more towards Halloween and Christmas in the seasonal goods section.

having seen BBQ reminded me. . .we went to some friend's house Sunday before last for some barbacoa. . .which, of course, has absolutely NOTHING to do with barbeque. :))) Helped us start our preliminaries before our trip to Mexico, though.

tele65 I think you are right when you say that barbacoa has noting to do whit BBQ

Unfortunately not every body in this forum is American nor use the same method of barbecuing

here you can see a more detail explanation of what "BBQ" is but do read the etymology part

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barbeque

    and

    http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/barbecuing

I'm not trying to flame you but to inform you

    :D

did you know that the British invented the US navy

I do not have a store in Cancun currently.. I am however looking for someone who would like to be a dealer there. In the meantime visit my site www.bajagrills.com and we can certainly send you one. Thanks ED
