    I think you have to leave the HZ to escape the usual stuff that is there. It's all the same and you are close to Carlos & Charlies, Rainforest Cafe...and those menus are ur typical family restaurant stuff. Go downtown and eat real mexican food that will leave you begging for more. Lots of posts on here about that.

    Yes, thanks; but was wondering since things change so much if there was something close to the Bay View. We will definately head downtown as we usually do.
    Missed Cancun our last trip as we went to Playa last month. Has been almost 1 year since in Cancun so looking for any new/changed venues.

    $125 a night is a steal even in Sept, owners is losing money at that price as his hoa fees, utilites etc will cost him ore then that to have you there. even in low season $300 is a bargain

    Yes, I thought it was an exceptional deal that is why we cannot pass it up.
    I was wrong about the $300 though...that is low season. High season starts at $425 and up.
    Is it true that El Pescador downtown closed its doors....or possibly have they re-opened if anyone knows?
