We were there the last week of Feb (Week 8) & our last day our favorite bartender Alfredo informed us that was his last day as a bartender. He said he took a job inside the hotel working with the bellhops. Great guy! BTW Alfredo won the bartender contest that was held @ the sexy pool that week. After they announced he won he was promptly thrown in the pool.
she also makes the best Caesars...lol we must of been typing this at the same time partydollgirl...LOL
great minds.. lol i am going to try to bring her a big Costco bottle of celery salt. you could bring the big bottle of Worcestershire.. .haha
Alfredo is man. That guy has giving a lot of years to that resort with very little thanks in return or backing. One of the nicest guys(and his family) I've ever met. Always made sure I took good care of him. Felt so bad for him when they were rotating bartenders around the resort. You take your top guys like him and stick them in a restaurant at night for a week or two or whatever. Doesn't take much management skills to understand your top bartenders should always be at your busiest bars all the time. Rookies learning the ropes should be stuck with the restaurant gigs. Can't really see him sticking with the bellhop thing. Hope he gets back behind the bars or gets into some type of good money making position as he deserves for his dedication.
Yeah, saw Alfredo last week in his bell hop uniform - strange to see him dressed like that! Spoke to him briefly, it was his choice to switch jobs. He's become quite religious and I don't think being witness to all the drunken debauchery sits well with his new outlook. To each their own.
Is it wrong to give the bellhop a forty dollar tip if ihe is Alfredo. Nope think not. Gonna miss him behind the bar though. Alfredo has given us alot of years of komakazies and drinks. I wish him luck in his new job.
