Well, everybody knows that the people involved in organized crime spend all their money on brand new pickup trucks...why put it in the bank when you can put the truck in your father in law's name and then drive it... :roll:
So you notice that, eh, RG? Well, so do the other mafia guys and kidnappers. It is becoming extremely dangerous to show up on the society page, own a fancy car, a big house or anything flashy. People with money are starting NOT to show it off so much. And now it is not just to keep away from Hacienda but from kidnappers and the "competition." Interesting breaking news--they arrested 750+ members of the Sinaloa drug cartel today--U.S. and Mexican governments working together.
What a novel thought...almost like old money civilized society, don't show it off... When people have new money they often seem to show it off and it's always seemed so tacky to me. Have not read the news of those arrests yet, will do that next...
