Welcome to Chitown! Just don't become a Cubs fan! If you want to see a world series before you die, check out the White Sox! All Cub fans believe the current year is "the year." This year is no different! Anyway, I am trying to escape from Illinois, it's not that great. We are the liberal capital of the U.S. (Even if you are a hard core liberal it's still bad, unless you like paying HUGE taxes on everything) We are waaaay worse than Cali, our taxes are higher, roads are a lot more crappy, Tollways are WAAAY over priced (yes you have to pay to travel on them, some of them are as much as a $1 per pass unless you buy an I-Pass). Our income tax will go up sooner or later because we keep spending money like drunken sailors, we have the worst travel times of all the major cities, corruption is something we have grown accustom to...if a politician is not corrupt we are suspicious of them. Oh and the winters, how much fun! I hope you don't have to drive anywhere. The upsides: We have the best food in America, trust me; I have been to N.Y., Cali, Phoenix, etc, etc. Well let me clarify that: We have the best pizza, hot dogs, sausages, etc, etc. Mexican food is still a LOT better in Phoenix. We have recently won a world series by sweeping GOOD teams out of the playoffs, everyone LOVES football here....even though we suck year, after year, after year, after year, (this year will be the same). But if you are into politics it’s kind of fun, most of the "elected officials" (in "" because dead people can still vote here), have an I.Q. of 20. Oh, and I am not just picking on the Dem’s, the Repub’s are just as corrupt…they just don’t get elected! Oh and if you haven't heard Blaggo speak yet, you will LOVE him! He likes to rhyme in his speeches...oh and everything he tries to ban, if it doesn't get passed, "500 people will die." Doesn't matter what it is, could be a tax raise, could be a road construction project for his corrupt friends or a law about foie gras. Chicago has a lot to do, espically in the summer plus there are a LOT of hot sexy single girls in Chitown. I have been (have relatives) in N.Y. and I have to say I like Chicago better just because it doesn't smell during the summer (at least as bad as N.Y.) and it's a hell of alot cleaner!
