hey is this the turkish guy that was on kabah.....brilliant news if it is....i know what im having for me tea tomorrow night while i assemble my sons christmas pressie so excited!!! ha ha was only talking about the fact i missed them yesterday!!!
Yes it is! I know what I'm having for my tea for the next 5 nights (I might make an exception for Christmas Day, but only because they might be closed). For those that haven't tried them but maybe familiar with doner kebabs, this is not your usual fat ridden, factory processed slop on a spit that you get in England. The meat (lamb) is carefully selected, minced and prepared daily by hand, spiced just right and served on a pita with some tasty sauces and fresh salad. Prices last time were 45 pesos for regular or 65 for large. Rawkus I will see if they are doing Falafels and suggest he does if he doesnt already.
Steve you should start a new thread that says "Good news for kebab fans" We ate at this place the week before it moved locations from the tent. Then once after it moved and really liked it. then it closed...glad to hear its coming back! Something besides tacos is really nice.
We went today, I think we were their first customers. Place is small, two tables only to seat about 8. Good news really since this probably means the rent is quite cheap. It's a few blocks heading out of town from Gran Plaza, on the same side of the street. Prices were the same as before, our bill for 4 including kebab, soft drink and fries was 275 pesos but they would only accept 200. The Kebabs were just as good as before, they had a few problems with the fries since their fryer wasn't heated up and when it was it could only fry one portion at a time. I didn't ask about Falafels Rawkus, the owner wasn't there when we visited it was his Mexican relatives who probably would have no idea what Falafels are.
Located right behind the Parque de Las Palapas in Downtown Cancun (just a few minutes walk from the ADO bus station). Good ambience with a nice water feature in the center. Only negative is that I was expecting some more traditional music as background music. Food is good and they have a nice variety to chose from. Prices are reasonable. Good service, clean
Anyone know if they deliver? I tried to order last night, then realized the info I had was from June hahha
OMG falafals in Cancun?! There IS a god. Well I have been missing out. Does the kebab place have falafals or should i try Saharas, Gran plaza area is a hike for me.
