I have just been informed this afternoon that I have a week off starting on March 12th. I've been dreaming about going back to Cancun ever since I've been there in Jan. 2010 BUT. Obviously, no one around me can get off of work with such short notice. I am seriously thinking about going ... by myself. Is it too f***** wild out there for a young lady who likes to get shitfaced? I mean once I've figured out which hotel I'm going to I can probably find some ppl to hang out with most of the time? Or am I just dreaming

Bad idea? More like, AWESOME IDEA! I roomed with someone off the forum here two years ago and would've been better off alone. Plenty of people do it, talk with Ally, she was having problems and considering not going. Not sure what happened there. I would easily do it alone if I had to. You'll be making friends in no time, considering you're open minded. Half my trip was alone and I was making friends before noon, who I'd spend the day with and eventually go out with that night. I say go for it! I know what you mean thinking it might be a bit scary because I was in the same situation last week but the things that seem scary at first are frequently the most rewarding experiences.
If you are doing it i would say stay at a hotel where there will be people from this forum that will be there around the same dates.
Practice what you preach, when your friend dropped out you was going to cancel your trip! Now you are telling this girl to go alone!
