Have you checked Trip Advisor? That site can be very helpful when you are looking for specifics for different resorts. TTR is fun but it is majority couples 30-50yrs as said earlier. And it is quite a distance from the hotel zone where all the nightlife and clubs are. The clubs in Cancun are AWESOME and great for stag or stagette.
Horrible The worst part is you trying to talk his language when it is really how someone would talk who is now 30something over 10 years ago. Slipping.
I went last year as part of a girls trip, 7 ladies. Half of us were married and of the others only one girl in our group 'hooked up'. Even though we were on a Girls trip we were looking to party not hook up. There are definitely more single guys at TTR than single ladies. And there are more couples than singles. As said earlier it is a predominately a couples resort. This year I am heading back with my hubby and a few other couples. Even though I had a blast last year I am really looking forward to going as a couple as this is what the resort is geared towards. I know a lot of the groups of guys left the resort every night to head into Cancun to the clubs to party looking for other singles. It might make more sense to stay closer to the club district if that is what you guys are looking for.
Bachelor parties are fun, and thats a big group. If you guys are in the late 20's then expect to see more 30's and up. I agree and would say Vegas is always the best bet. You'll need strip clubs and maybe someone can answer that question as well for whats in Cancun. Partying during the day? Not sure about that, but there's a lot of excursion options that may help out there but I'm sure they will be mild. I haven't been there yet but researching a lot and found these guys Party Rockers Cancun | Agency Clubs & Tours and they come highly recommended; Apparently the VIP tour is the way to go. If the guys want resort action to be the focus of the Bachelor party, you guys will probably end up male bonding a lot.
thanks for all the help, will probably look into ME. Appreciate the advice because I never even heard of this hotel before
I'm not 100% certain on the best hotel for you. However, I don't think TTR or GOV is it. TTR is more couples. And while GOV is working on their transition there is not a lot of parties going on. It is more laid back and probably isn't what you want. Even if they get the transition totally completed before your trip, they aren't going for wild and loud party atmosphere. I would recommend doing a lot of research and checking out trip advisor as someone else suggestioned. Don't think that just because it is "adults only" it will be a party resort. There are many adults only resorts, but often they are more relaxing and laid back. There was a large group of guys at TTR when we were there that would be the same age as your group. Didn't even know they were there if I hadn't seen them check in and the husbands of our group didn't play horseshoes with them. They said TTR was boring and that they leave the hotel as much as possible. They went to the clubs at night and did different excursions (zip lining and stuff like that) during the day. They talked like this was a lot of fun for them and really liked the clubs. You may want to look at that and consider the resort you're at as just the place you eat and sleep. Good luck and have a blast.
Sorry, I was imagining the poor guy taking his group to GOV and them hating him forever. The only reason I would take a bachelor party to cancun instead of vegas would be if it was the winter months. And then I would try to create an upscale party by picking a hotel that has singles, my type of scene (EDM) and easy access to the mass clubs. It sounded like ME was that. But I have never been there as I am hitched.
maybe Cancun isn't a good option than, was just trying to think of an option other than NYC, Vegas, and Miami, but maybe there isn't a great alternative.
