I thought that the bachelor parties here this past week were really fun dudes. but they didn't try to touch my wife.

No sign of this bachelor party here, must have booked elsewhere. Or very quiet. Had one party from Canada earlier this week, they were loud and crazy but pretty much kept to themselves

around April 17th there was a large group of single young males, they were well behaved, but for me that is not the point.

Temptations is marketed as a place to go revitalize your sex life ( sexy atmosphere, theme nights , ect), They( Bachelor parties) rarely participate in the themes , except for lingerie night they will go in boxers to get into nice shoes .
A sausage fest , good or bad puts a damper on the sexy part.

For the most part people are just venting here cause we all no TTR will not change as long as they fill the rooms.

The Canadian bach party guys were pretty quiet except for I guess one evening but they basically just got sent to bed lol And one of the guys was the biggest sweet heart, super friendly and I would imagine he'll be back to the resort sometime in the future!

Ed and Alli and I were talking about the fact that we don't think the bach party from this thread showed up since we never saw a new group of guys. That or they were very, very low key and went off resort at night, separated during the day. Didn't see a big group of guys at the pools.

So, my cougar practice was limited lol

    Hi Everyone,

Although the bachelor party is over I did want to at least provide a follow up so people don't think this was all some sort of joke thread.

The week of we canceled TTR and made the horrible choice of choosing the Grand Oasis Cancun. The accomodations were disgusting and as a group of 27-28 year olds this whole Spring Break party scene was not worth the disgusting less than palatable food, the horrible service and terrible drinks at the bar- this is far from an all inclusive.

If you all want to read my review on Grand Oasis Cancun (even if merely for entertainment purposes) feel free to check it out here Leaving felt like we escaped from Guantanamo Bay) AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!! YOU COULDNT PAY ME TO STAY HERE AGAIN! - Review of Grand Oasis Cancun, Cancun, Mexico - TripAdvisor

I promise you even though it is long- it is very entertaining at how ridiculously BAD that place is.

Looking back our group had a great time as we did take the bus out to downtown Cancun to get our fix at Coco Bongo and the likes- but I really wish we remained at TTR simply for the five star service/food/ and rooms - which would have made things that much nicer.

My whole group of ten got horrible bacterial stomach issues from the food at Grand Oasis- and the groom was sick for two weeks after (a week before his actual wedding).

I appreciate everyone who responded in this thread good and bad.

I guess all in all if a bachelor party is a mature group of people who would appreciate better service, food, and accomodations- maybe TTR would be a better spot- because my God- i've traveled all over the world and NOTHING was worse than the Oasis hotels. I have a lot of built up anger towards the hotel and their shady management.

Cheers to all- and perhaps if I do plan a Cancun trip in the near future i'll be back on this forum. But may still lurk from time to time out of boredom and a Desire for a Cancun vacation.

Sorry you cancelled from TTR.... :(

I'd say send the groom back with his bride but after the raft of shit you took, it's a wonder you even returned to post this.

Hopefully someday you'll try TTR... we are really a nice group deep down inside, just some you have to go deeper for. :)

    Next time! :)

But.... Don't come to TTR for the 5 star food, rooms and service. I think maybe the service is close but people don't go to TTR for the room and food. But also it isn't something that would ruin your vacation like what you just experienced. Come for the amazing time and great people. Hopefully you get to try it some day. Based on the fact that you hung in there and took the beatings and still came back to say hi and update. shows that you would fit in just fine.

Thank you for posting back an update. I always wonder about how things work out when people ask for advice on many threads.

I'm sorry to hear that your experience at Grand Oasis wasn't what you had hoped it would be and hope that in years to come your friends will joke about the lack of service. I really enjoyed the visualization you provided in your tripadvisor review. I do wonder though about the fact that you and your friends were walking around a room drip drying.... most American guys are not exactly comfortable walking around each other nearly naked.

If you do end up at TTR in the future be warned that lost towels (although there are plenty so at least you can get them) and lost wristbands will still cost you money. While I have found room cleanliness and food to be a non-issue you will always meet someone who did not like it at the resort or someone who got a stomach bug while there. Also, they only give you some bottled water but the water at TTR is drinkable.

The best difference though between what you experienced and what TTR can offer is that the staff loves being there and working. The combination of a great staff and a great crowd of vacationers is what makes the difference. Hopefully you make it back the next time.

On a personal side note, I was at TTR a few years ago with one of 'those' bachelor parties that was obtrusive, rude, obnoxious etc. I recently returned and some of those same people did too... what a difference two years makes. They ended up being very cool people. Just goes to show that no two groups or trips are the same.
