thanks for the extra comfort guys!! i was worried for a bit about all the new stuff she was telling me but i researched AGAIN and can't even find anything she was talking about, besides that nothing outrageous is happening in cancun. and yeah those people killed you're talking about the guy had just been promoted to the head anti-drug guy so as long as we don't become government officials over spring break i think we are ok but thanks anyways for the extra security!
Guys, Cancun is safe, as safe as you are back at home if not more so. I live in Cancun and I dont live there because I have to or need to, it's because I want to and I can. I have a wife and a 4 yr old, I'm not crazy - the moment Cancun is not safe we will move somewhere else. For sure, other places in Mexico in the North are not places I would travel to and I would suggest others dont either, but here there is no problem for tourists at all.
