oh girl im really sorry!!!!!!!! cancun is probably the safest place in mexico, and as a mexican i have to tell you guys that all the drama is not 100% true, yes there are killings, as in every other city in the world but all this problems are around the border line or in the ugly parts of certain states... u will do perfectly fine in cancun i hope you find another friend to go with you... but u seriously gotta go.. dont cancel your trip! ull have a great time!!!!!!
what you need to display to her is the issues are up on the borders of the US! The problem towns i circled in red this is all happening by road as your flying into cancun which i circled in yellow there will be no problems, its isolated from any borders and wouldnt be a problem what so ever! especially as you will be in a tourist zone! your over 2000 miles away from any hint of trouble. Cancun is safer than the people who spring break in south padre texas and go over the border to party in mexico there!
That's non sense. Cancun is probably as safe as it can get in Mexico. It's the border areas that's very very dangerous.
i have another girl going with me but i'm just mad that she had no sympathy in wasting my hard earned money. she's all smiles and wouldn't even come talk to me about it. no, just a facebook message. anyways i'm ranting. i'm going for sure even if i have to lock myself in my room and drink while the city is burning down. she said that 25 people a day are dying in cancun and that it says so all over the news? she is full of shit. 20 people died in cancun LAST YEAR. only 20 people. compare that to NYC, LA, or Chicago. ok, there is a drug war going on - cartels are battling it out. but that is on the border and in some areas of mexico city. cancun is far from that. 3 people died in cancun recently, they were murdered, but it was a guy who worked for the government and his driver and stuff. i.e. IT WAS PREMEDITATED. it was NOT a random shooting. i heard the FBI and DEA are helping out as well. TOURISTS ARE SAFE.
