It is not a swinger resort per se or in comparison with Desire/Hedo but it is there. THANK GOD!!!..............the reason we go to TTR! :icon_twisted:
You're exactly right...what confuses me is why someone would fear losing their job based on an avatar pic on Cancuncare? Both of us have visible white collar jobs in our community...no one cares if we go to a party resort. After checking in and getting lunch on our first day, we head straight to the pool and try to pick out the friendly faces we've been talking to on here so we can introduce ourselves and get the party started. What makes TTR so cool is this forum - we're having drinks with people within minutes after arrival. All made possible by Steve and pics posted on here by our current and future friends. It's hard to look around the pool and spot a user name without a face.
Some jobs have social media policies. Just the way it is. I agree it sucks but when you are in the public eye you have to follow the rules. I hold no grudge against people who only accept friends with an avatar I would not want a "creeper" in my page. But as I said we have exchanged photos with some we have met in this site. For those of you that went out of your way to be an ass to us and to those who sent the private messages being very rude. Remember I know who you are before you will know me at TTR. No offense if I tell you to go pound salt once you see us and want to hang out.
I don't think there is any reason to be rude about your choice to not put a avatar up, I have a few friends I have met down there that have no avatar. Even if someone chooses not to accept your friend request there is no reason to be rude just don't push that little button that says accept friend! Like I said above, we choose to have an avatar and have had great results from doing so, but I do understand why you can not!:typing:
I can't blame those who are leary of users without pics. If there are social media restrictions as a condition of employment, that's unfortunate for you. At the same time, that doesn't mean that anyone should compromise their own comfort zone by accepting a friend request from an unknown user. Hopefully no one becomes rude - but for many of us, a faceless username sends up a red flag. I hope that if you recognize me in the pool someday, we can raise a drink together. I don't pound salt well...I lick it before a tequila shot! This forum is a place where people generally come together with almost no real disagreements, so hopefully we can go back to making friends and anticipating our next visits.
Seriously! Like I said I have no problem with people only having friends with an avatar. But when you go out of your way to pm me and say rude things then I'm not wasting my time on you when we meet. If you don't have something nice to say. .....
That's not what I was asking you if you were serious about. But, it's not important (REALLY, it isn't). And, FTR, I've never sent you a PM or (as far as I know) received a friends request from you (which is the way your last post reads). If you don't mind me asking, why is seeing someone else's photos important to you? I may be swayed with a convincing argument. If you're going to be at TTR when we are, I invite you to come over and introduce yourselves. I don't care a bit that you don't have an avatar pic (for any reason you deem to be important). I'll still buy you a shot.
For the record none of my comments were directed towards you. As to your question why is it important for me to see photos it is not I do not ask people to be friends to see the photos I do however like meeting people prior to going and I thought this is what this site was about. I thought this site was for information in meeting people beforehand so that you already have friends when you arrive. I have been to Mexico and other countries many times in this is the first forum I joined prior to going I have met a lot of good people on the site and I look forward to drinking a beer shot or whatever else they have.
It seemed it was other people that had the issues with dynamite not having a picture up more than him wanting to their pictures. Most people on here are very excepting of others. I have been very surprised how many people have gone into attack mode on here, but thats between the original parties.
