At Mexican Customs, do you admit you're visiting Temptation?

Honestly, if you find admitting where you are going to embarrassing or something that you might be ashamed of you might want to reconsider your destination. Everybody knows where we go. Some are indifferent, a few are put off (oh well) but most are envious. As for the customs form, I don't think it's a wise move to lie on that. Like everyone else said, they really don't care.

 

I always say that I'm staying at Temptation this once I was asked " and your staying there alone?" By a customs agent. I said NOPE, I have a TON of friends there waiting on me! Lol it's our business where we stay and what "ugh ugh we do " when at TTR

We always tell the truth. (Not to coworkers but to close friends, my mom who watches our kid, and Customs/gov't)
A good way to get in trouble is lie in a foreign country!

Plus, if you hit the red light and they search your suitcase, they'll probably already know. HAHA

 

I think you are over-thinking the Temptation mystique. The airline attendant, customs or immigration agents, taxi or shuttle drivers don't care if you are going to Holiday Inn or Hedo.

 

If you lie on the form and heaven forbid they start looking for you for any reason due to possible issues at home or trouble you may be in I dont think that you want them to look for you at the Riu vs. where you are really staying. No need to lie on the form.

As for the inspector accepting a bribe ok, but you never know if they are not out to trap you with that bribe and arrest you for it. Not a good idea at point of entry. Traffic issue is different, though even there you should not offer anything to the crooked cops.

 

Thanks for all the responses. Like I said, I had received a few interesting smiles from drivers when I told them where I was staying. I'm a shy person in general (not so at Temptation itself) So, since the place has a reputation with the locals, I do feel a little embarrassed admitting it.

I love Temptation and I think it's a great place. It just has a (unfortunate) reputation with some people.

But, on the advice of the responses I received , I will not fib on my next Customs form.

 

Just tell them you're going to Temptaions, and be sure to emphasize the "s".

 

Never lie on a customs form, if they investigate further and find out, guess what you are on the next plane back home!!

We tell the truth on the form. The only negative is Jen keeps being selected for the 'random' strip search afterwards. Coincidence?
