I was just talked to Valentina on Facebook and she said she was going to reply here as she didn't know this was up here once I mentioned it, but seeing it's at 8pm I said I would take of it since she is at home now with her family. She sent my question to the beverage manager and within a minute replied back that the answer is beer only at the moment, 24/7. She didn't say anything about it being changed down the road and nor did I ask, so I would do as we do at TTR once they shut down the free flowing booze at a uncertain time and just grab a couple of bottles of whatever you love to drink and go from there. Hope that helps! Holy customer service Also on a side note for room service, it was mentioned earlier that room service is $12.... The meal you order it on top of that charge. Meaning if you order a Chicken Sandwich and a Ceasar Salad with a beer for $30.... Your total, would be $42 plus tip for the delivery guy. I am not sure what a meal actually cost as I was way to drunk to remember but was hungry and that's what ate at 2am but I am sure it was somewhere around there cost wise.
This is strange, we ordered room service last night and was charged 159 peso's delivery but all the food was free. There was no alcohol on the menu but we did get coke with our meals. The club sandwhich is actually one of the best things we have had here so far. The menu did say french fries, but only chips were delivered instead. Gov should look into updating the menu's. It took about a hr for delivery, but food was good.
There is a flat rate for room service - $12 which is 159 pesos. You don't pay extra for the items you order. In theory, you could order every item on the menu and still only pay $12. In practice, I am sure they have a reasonable limit on order size. If room service was free - everyone would order it just for the hell of it, and over run the kitchen and delivery staff. Most people would over order and waste tons of food leaving plates of uneaten food and trays out in the hallways. I've never known of free room service anywhere in Cancun I have stayed. It's either a (usually expensive) charge per menu item or a service charge.
An all inclusive should have a somewhere to get food to at least 3 in the morning. You are supposed to be able to get food when you want it and room service you can limit it to two items only per room a night People would prefer that then 12 dollar fee. While I'm at it 8 bucks for the safe a day is another money grab.
They are working on the food till 3am thing. It was mentioned in an earlier post. I am posting from my phone otherwise I would post the link. I think 3am with room service is definitely reasonable. Even if it's for $12. If I don't want to pay I could wait till breakfast it's only a couple hours
Yes I read they were , I guess I am just left wondering why there isn't a snack shack open that late already. Adult only and 400 rooms. Seems like a no brainer.
Something must of changed, I'm pretty sure I paid for my meal but them again I was pretty drunk at the time maybe I just gave him a really good tip. Oh we'll either way the sandwich was great and so was the salad. Edited: Never mind you're right, Jodie just reminded me it was Vegas that we paid for our room service and GOV was just a delivery fee, shit I have to either stop drinking and ordering food at these late hours of the night or ...... Ayyyy never mind who are we kidding me stop drinking while on holidays lol too funny
Just a thought--the posts I saw on Facebook were really attractive, but they don't really tell guests they are invited to dress in lingerie, etc., and they're not anywhere near the top now where new lookers would see anything about them. We've been to other resorts that use similar posters, but they're just telling the guests what the show will be. Lots of your guests will assume it's the same at GOV. It may take something more obvious to convince guests they are supposed to help set the mood by coming to Coyotes in the dress code. A couple simple ideas would be to post a suggested packing list on the FB page, post about the themes more frequently so new visitors find the info, and have a few staff members model the night's dress code throughout the day to give guests an idea. Not complaining--I know you're crazy busy and would just like to help you out in some way! You've been really helpful to us, and I'd just like to give a little back. --Laura
Thank you so much for asking Valentina! That was very kind of you! It's folks like you that make these boards so great! Hope to meet you guys in person some day--hey how about coming to Gov the week of Feb 8th??? There's a bunch of ccc folks going at that time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Steve, we stayed a couple of times at the Valentin Imperial and they had 24 hr free room service. I Loved rolling over, pushing one button, and having coffee delivered....
