I would contact your travel agent, that far ahead there is usually only a 25 service charge for changing hotels which might be waived in your situation.

What kind of clientele do you think they are marketing ?

Most of us are just adults that like to party with no kids, and like adult themed entertainment and games. This is NOT a Hedo resort.

    Thanks for the reply Donald,

I'm not entirely sure what the hotel is geared up for really, I'm getting some mixed reviews, especially in regards to some of the theme nights.

We were just looking for a hotel where a 23 and 25 year old can have a holiday with a good atmosphere then hit clubs later if that should take our fancy, which I thought GOV would be perfect when booking the hotel.

By no means do I intend to offend anyone.

Well if you change your mind, Donald's on here a fair bit. Feel free to fire out a gem. Forum gets a little slow some days.

Ha, yeah, no one is offended. Everyone wants everyone else to find the place that is right for them. We are hoping for a good atmosphere (pool party, volleyball, good drinks, lots of fun, nice meals, jacuzzi) with good entertainment on site day and night. Our backup plan is to hit the clubs if the entertainment isn't good on site. Understandably good atmosphere could mean different things to different people. We like the sexy vibe that theme nights can bring if done right in a classy way. If there is a theme night we don't like then we just dress up as if we were going to the clubs.

Hope you find what you are looking for and understand that it is hard to figure out if GOV is it since it is in the middle of change.

Thanks for the reply, I'm guessing I'm expecting GOV to be somewhat similar to the reviews I've read about Temptation, and obviously we did not book that resort. We are kind of surmising that the hotel could be a little too full on.

I fully agree with your point about it being in its transition period, no one will know until reviews have been posted.

One point to make on tripadvisor reviews. It all depends on perspective. We found that just because someone trashes a resort on tripadvisor it doesn't mean it is bad for us. Temptation resort is a good example. If you are looking for peace and quiet and 5 star food and deluxe accommodations then after a trip to Temptation you are likely to write a horrible review about loud crazy partiers and food that stunk. If you were looking for a spring break for adults type place then you likely loved it. All about perspective. So it is difficult to say whether Gov will be a fit for you due to two reasons 1) no one knows how it will develop over the next several months and 2) we are not sure what you are looking for in a vacation. But if you are looking for more on the peace and quiet side or prefer something without a sensual vibe then I agree it likely won't be a fit. Keep in mind sexy and sensual is very different than what a lot of people assume from the tripadvisor reviews. It doesn't mean swinger or sex. Some people jump to that conclusion. Good luck in finding what is right for you!
