In addition to bathing suit, should we bring a pair of shorts for off-boat excursions?

Trish, we are stopping at Walmart on our way from the airport with USA Transfers. Once we get to TTR we probably won't want to leave! lol

Can we pick up something for you on our stop? Let me know.

Use your credit-card at Wal-mart - you get the daily exchange rate and depending on your card, Intl fees can be zero.

Just call ahead and let them know you are heading to Cancun.

The chance of your card being cloned at a store like Wal-Mart is 0.0001%.

And bring your Red-TTR resort towels on the cruise and a cover-up/t-shirt for Isla Mujeres. Watch is helpful as you need to be back on the boat on-time.

Don't forget your alcohol infused whip cream and some extra booze from your personal stash in case the boat is loaded with Canadian's and we drink it all, I bring a couple of empty bottles of Gatorade and refill them with Tequilla and Jagger to pass around the boat doing snorkel shooters, get you wasted in no time lol

No worries. We thought about doing the stop to the resort, then figured we'd rather be at TTR than Walmart on our first day! I think we'll be planning a Walmart stop for the day after.

If you are bringing a bag, make sure it is something you will want to carry around with you on the island and also that it has some grip to it on the boat (so it doesn't go flying off the side in the wind or from waves moving the boat around). You'll want a resort towel, sun block, a hat, sunglasses, waterproof camera (with a lanyard or something to hold onto, preferably with a floating thing in case is falls in the water), chapstick with sunblock, sandals, and a t-shirt or some type of cover-up if you want to walk around the island in more than your bathing suit. Bring some money with you if you want to buy snacks/drinks at the island bar or shop on the island (know that the prices there are WAY higher than other places for stuff that is sold cheaper elsewhere, but everything is negotiable!). Pesos are easier to use, but they take US dollars (sometimes with a lower exchange rate than you would like, though).

People will tell you to bring the alcohol infused whipped cream - I stay away from that stuff because it really fucks me up!! We might bring some Fireball with us for a nice refreshing body shot party :)
