I just found out today that they are changing our pension/killing it because of the costs associated with the lack of reimbursement... because of...you guessed it - Obamacare. Rocket, I work in IT at the Hospital. Computer nerd by day! lol
At the rate we are going none of us will be able to afford to go to TTR anymore.....ok, that's a lie, I would consider selling my soul !!!! :icon_evil:
Prhodes, your union policy will probably be one of those Cadillac plans that our fearless leader has targeted. That's the payback that union members got for voting Obama in again. For us this law is a disaster. The tax implications of it are huge and they are hiring some 50,000 new IRS agents to help enforce it. The fun has only just begun. This is only the first phase of a law that no one bothered to read before passing it.
Wow... Crazy stuff... I heard yesterday that our costs are going up "slightly", but our company has avoided being assraped by Obamacare...
You see that's the part they didn't tell you. Along with your Obamacare policy you get a barrel of industrial strength Vaseline!
This kind of shit makes me seriously want to go off the grid doomsday prepper style and just make a self sufficient homestead in the mountains somewhere. Maybe even out of the US!
Don't know whether my husband and I will sign up or not, but if we can find anything comparable on the exchange with a premium lower than the $1,407.43 a month we now pay for health insurance, it will be a welcome relief. "...they are hiring some 50,000 new IRS agents to help enforce it." So now it's gone from 16,000 to 50,000? Unbelievable!! Would you please post the source of that? I couldn't find anything on that figure but did find: PolitiFact Georgia | Price: 16,000 IRS agents will enforce Obama health care law IRS Expansion
Zena, the numbers for the new agents are all over the board. I have seen numbers as low as 193 and as high as 50,000. A safe guess is that they will add somewhere in the middle of that number. Some will be charged with the enforcement of the law and others will be involved in the changes to the tax law and its implementation. The biggest problem we have with the added agents is that we are seeing the IRS using some very poorly trained agents whom seem to have the idea that it is their personal vendetta to increase taxes.
Not Me I may have a union job but I didn't vote for the tyrant. I have voted Republican the last 5 Presidents. I'm not a big fan of social programs and free giveaways of the tax payers dollars.
