When we first came to town, Le Meridian allowed us to have our two dogs in the room with us for about 400USD a night. I commented to one of the desk clerks that I would sure like to find someplace a little more economical. He suggested a "garage hotel" on Lopez Portillo called La Torquesa for about 40USD a night. The room was sparkling clean, the water pressure was adequate and we had the option of dirty movies on two channels on the in-house cable system. And nobody bothered the dogs all day while we were out house hunting. Talk about more bang for your buck! Later, Jerry G.
