We just booked our last-minute trip for April 14-19th! We've been to the Cancun resorts, and are excited to try Grand Miches!
It is getting real for us now. Arrive on Saturday 4/1 for 3 nights as kind of a trial to see if we like the DR version of Desire. Fingers crossed they have improved on the reported issues over the last few months but odd that there haven’t been any reports lately to update us all on the status. Guess we will just make the best of it. Hoping it is a fun environment. what I most want to know at this point (and I guess we will just have to find out for ourselves)… - is the main pool still very cold as reported? - have they worked out the temperatures at the jacuzzi? Were some reports of it being too hot. - do people hang at the pool during the day or the jacuzzi due to the pool temps? - hearing reports the beach is really nice. In Mexico we rarely skip the pool for the beach due to my FOMO. Will it be different at Miches? - how to split time between grand and regular miches? One of the main appeals of visiting the DR resorts is we are hoping to enjoy the TTR style party but also have the nicer amenities of Desire. - I signed up for one of the deals where we are supposed to be upgraded. Will they actually do it or will there be the typical original resorts we don’t know what you are talking about when we check in? - heard some reports of the high end alcohol not really being available. Will grey goose (my vodka of choice) be available? - will they let the mrs get naked where she wants and when she wants? Or will the rules be strictly enforced. How will they be applied. Sorry for the ramble. Excited to find out for ourselves in 5 days

All good points. Please let us know what you find out on your return. Also, if you happen to see a spot to rent out jet skis that would be much appreciated as well. Have great trip!
