I received a PM from Vanessa the girl who ended up winning. She's been a forum member for a few weeks now and she assured me she is not connected to the hotel or anyone in charge of the competition. I guess I was wrong in my assumptions. Apologies.
I'm just glad to hear that she was not a "plant". Maybe she will do what February 2009 did and manage to win it all! As for the voting, I bet anyone would want to win. I spoke with many of the girls at last years competition and heard voting strategies that ranged from Facebook fan pages to go out clubbing with business cards that asked for votes. I got lucky and did not have to resort to using any computer technology to help me win (sorry, not very computer savvy) but remember, that's what Hillary had to do and no one looked down on her back in October. I hope that anyone who gets to meet the winner of this month is just as nice to her at TTR as you all have been to Hillary. Viola, you gave it one hell of a run. I hope one of these months we will get to see each other at the resort.... I'll buy you a round of drinks.
:aktion070: Good Tuesday... feels like a Monday to me.. It was a crazy decision they made and for the whole "hacking" thing that was just BS. I don't regret being a part of the competition however I now wish I would have cheated because cheater do win. Disappointed, pissed off, annoyed and frustrated just a few things that come to mind with the results!!! So I attempted to stay FAR away from the computer this weekend due to spending WAY TOO much time on it the past 2-3 weeks. To be honest there is a TON of shadiness/fishiness to the whole thing and like Steve said 'Best I don't say anything more".... To Vanessa I find it funny that you are on here and didn't even stand up for yourself with that being said yes I know you cheated and if you really do not know the webmaster then you must have A LOT of time on your hands to sit and monitor the votes... hopefully you can tell everyone the proxy (s) you used so that other people don't waste as much time as I did promoting the contest and all future contestants can just vote for themselves over and over again... golly............................that's bitter! On line contests are always so easy to f-up. Friends wrote a program that would cast a vote for a certain college mascott a few years ago. It voted for me so many times and hour using tons of differing IP addresses. We won! You're a cutie.......but until they come up with a way to stop that sort of thing there ill always.....or frequently at least.............there will be issues!
