April Addicts 2012 getting bumped

We are there the 20th through the 27th and would have no problem helping out.....What a great way to make new friends as well..

 

my thought on if they try to bump us:
I have a list of people from this site that are leaving the day we arrive, so therefore, how can you not have a room for me? (Woody's pdf)
We seem to be the first one of people arriving that day so I'm kind of hoping first come first served maybe. Here's hoping... just give us the damn room!!!!!!
The hubby is away and knows nothing of this idea yet, didn't want to burden him with it being so far away from home, but he'll be pissed if they bump us!!!!

 

Yep Rob make sure you find us as that will be our last full day. You know I will be partying my ass off. Tired but partying.:mnm:And being your first day we can just keep you up all night.

 

We got a call from Temptations today, we were booked from April 14th-18th and then off to Desire for 2 nights. They say they don't have us staying overnight on the 18th, and say they are FULL the 18th-21st(even tho you can still reserve a room on TTR & Alpharooms website). We called to verbally confirm just a day or 2 ago...so now we lose a day with all you crazies and have an extra day at Desire. Oh! btw...they reduced our room at Desire from $530 to $430

 

ID SAY PUSH THEM FOR A FREE NIGHT!!!! FOR US:huh:

 

We're there from May 14th-21th. We'd like to be put on the bump and share list! Can't imagine missing any of the fun if we were bumped!!

 

We're there April 27-May 4 and if we have an extra bed (we did last time), we'd be happy to help out someone who got bumped. We were bumped when we visited in February 2010 and we know how disappointing it is!

 

If we're bumped a night or two in May, how would we get a hold of anyone to share a room at TTR? Or to at least store our luggage while we stayed up round the clock until our room was ready? Look for the CC orange wrist bands? Just break down in the hotel lobby and cry? I'm so paranoid we're gonna get bumped.

 

We just got back and we did not get bumped. Now..... we did have a room on the 4th floor, overlooking the street and construction, but... didn't get bumped. We tried to get another room (bad knee, can't do stairs well), but we were on the booze cruise the next day and didn't want to leave all our crap out front until 6 or 7 pm without knowing if we had a different room ..... or any room for that matter. So, we just sucked it up and walked about 10 miles during our stay. LOL. Perhaps that was a good thing, because after all the eating and drinking ..... I only gained 1 pound on our trip!

 

I posted on the April Roll Call this morning about bumping in April, but thought perhaps not many people will be checking in there so i'm posting again here where the thread actually has "bumped" in the title.

I just came back from TTR, and while I was there I did not hear of a single April Addict getting bumped at any time in April. We checked in late at night (midnite), and the resort was overbooked several nights from the 12th to the 21st (although not on our first night).

So the bumping situation does not appear to be a significant problem that you should waste time worrying about as you head off to TTR. I'm sure it occurs, but from what I can tell from this past month, it is not frequent even during peak times at the resort.
