April 2014 Roll Call :)

I've been tracking price charts, and late April / early may is when they start to come down... I'm thinking just after thanksgiving will be the time to buy...

I booked about a month ago on Alpharooms for April 10 - 21 and got a price of $2272 for a total of $206 a night. Not a screaming deal but better than anything else I have seen out there. Lately when I look back at Alpharooms I was seeing prices in the $280 per night range for the same dates. I look at Expedia and a few of the other sites mentioned and I see prices ranging as high as $600 a night. none were anywhere close to the 206 I have paid.

This morning I tried an experiment.

We have two computers in our house. I always use the desktop and Monica uses the laptop. I went to the laptop, went to Alpharooms and did a search for a room in the Cancun hotel zone. I use the same dates I always did. As usual the first choice to come up was Tempations. It was listed 11 nights for $1543 a person or 280 a nigjht. I then did a search for Negril in Jamaica. The first choice there that came up was hedonism and it was listed at a bit over 1200 a person. So I clicked like I was going to book it and then went back. I did another search for Cancun. Again Temptations came up 280 a night. I went back again and looked at Hedo in Jamaica. I went back again and searched Cancun and this time the price had dropped to $1126 a person for 11 nights in mid April.

Now I can't guarantee this is going to work but it's worth a shot. For those of you who will be using the same computer you always do, clear the cookies before trying this.

All prices I mentioned are for room only. I will book my flight later on.

 

over the years of booking for TTR the prices usually come down after christmas.

 

Ok we are in for Apirl. Sometime around the 14th.

 

Looks like we'll be booking April 4-14th...as soon as the price drops!

 

Count us in for around the 12-19. Woohoo Mardi Gras in March and TTR in April. Talk about a great start to spring. See everyone soon.

I expect pictures as soon as you get it! That's awesome! When are you getting it? If you don't have somebody, maybe you need to make another trip to CT and we'll all go get some work done...

Hell yes... So that mean you are going to push back to 25-3 instead of 12-19? Haven't thought too much about theme nights, but i'm thinking masquerade or mardi gras of sorts may be a good one... Although Rave night was a blast too...
