NEWBIES This is our first trip to cancun/ Temptation Resort. We are two single straight ladies looking to have a blast ! So far this place sounds like it is going to be. There are a couple of things we weren't really sure about and were hoping someone could help us out. 1. Electricity- Do you have to bring some sort of an adapter or would our normal american plugs work? 2. Should we have more pesos or Us dollars? 3. Is XCaret something worth forking the money out for? What other trips would be fun?? 4. Someone told us to be careful about drinking water/ice...is this a big issue? What happens when you order a mixed drink? 5. Anything we should know before coming? Any kind of tips would be great! We look forward to meeting some new people! We are going to be there from the 27th of April until the 4th of May.
Re: NEWBIES I think this resort would be a blast for two single ladies! The outlets are the same as american. You should just use dollars, no need for pesos if you understand it's roughly about ten cents to one peso. I don't know about XCaret, but go on the Thursday booze cruise to the island, and check out Coco Bongo. The water used at the hotels is purified and filtered, the ice cubes and water are just fine to drink. Same with all the bars clubs in Cancun I believe. Hmm.. Bring your own pillow if you can, the pillow are hard and can make your neck sore. That's all I can think of for now....
