Read a report in the Indy Star today about the beaches. AP is reporting that the beaches are like after Wilma now. Local environmentalists are lobbying for native vegetation to be planted and walking paths to separate the hotels and beaches. Of course the erosion is blamed on the construction, (which is probly true). Maybe they do need to dig out the natural channels for the lagoon again. I don't think the dredging is gonna work. Maybe stop the construction of condos/hotels and deal with this problem, or there may not be a Cancun beach to visit anymore.
