I keep hearing about this Quest challenge and since we are newbies this year, I was wondering what to expect. What types of challenges/dares have previous visitors seen?
You'll find many people ignoring this thread... Don't take it personally Somethings should be left to surprise. It adds to the vacation!
Hi Guys, Id have to agree with Waste on this one, some things are better left to the imagination....its all fun and you are sure to have a great time...but im sure as most of the repeaters will tell you, not knowing what to expect is part of the ambiance of the place, otherwise everyone would just TIVO their vacations ha ha ha ...have a great trip. Cant wait to hear how you liked it.
Thanks 4 your post Waste, I think I'm gonna O.D. on folks telling every last detail about everything that some have never experianced yet. Michelle
well normkid if everyone didnt talk about details in the trip reports it would be a borning reading anything on cancuncare dont you think?i for one love reading all the details .half the fun is not knowing but the other half is knowing lol
yes... detail about the trip is good.. but you can skim over the detail in some of the games without making your TR boring. Some anticipation is better. Anything goes/Quest, Crazy Darts, Hot legs, nice shoes, etc. It could all be left for each person to experience on their own instead of going in with some preconcieved idea of what the game is.
I would like to know what goes on before I decide to participate or not. Not everybody is up for "Anything". There are so many perceptions about this place that some people may be hestitant to get involved and be forced to do something they are not comfortable with. At the Nice Shoes "Anything Goes" last year, I heard that they locked the door and nobody was let in or out. And the people that were in there had to take off all their clothes and throw them in a big pile in the middle of the room and then go search for their clothes. I am so glad I was not in there at the time because I would not have been comfortable with that. People have the right to know what they are getting in to. And I think more people would participate if they knew it was only good clean fun, as apposed to the "unknown". Every time I've been there only about 10-20 couples wore pj's on casino night, very small percentage.
Ok- I think I was misread. I just didn't really know if the game had been changed since it was changed to The Quest. I am not worried by all means about what goes on, and I agree that I should be surprised-that is the fun part. I guess I will just wait and see! Two weeks and 1 day to go. Holla!
Please remember the entertainment staff are there to entertain, not to ruin anyones vacation. They understand everyone has limits, and although they sometimes try to persuade people to stretch their limits, they will not force their guests into anything. Again, guests can exercise their options of participating or not. It's not forced on anyone. My original post was just a general guideline of what I like to follow when giving out details of what goes on. If someone really wanted to know and not knowing ahead of time could ruin their vacation, I would let them know by PM, not in a public forum where it would ruin the surprise for everyone. I would also suggest they may want to consider vacationing somewhere other than TRS as the atmosphere at the resort can drastically change from one week to the next making it difficult to plan for every detail and leaving ample room for many surprises.
There was a time, not too long ago, where NOBODY would post the explicit details about the games & activities that go on. It was just understood that it was a no, no to do so. That however, had no effect on the quality of the trip reports. In fact, the trip reports were longer, more detailed and actually more useful to newbies than the ones posted in more recent times. The detail that use to be posted was about the resort itself, the staff that were still there, changes at the resort, new stuff, old stuff that was changed.....just general things that folks would be naturally curious about, but wouldn't find out unless they were visiting soon. This lead to more probative questions, rather than the run of the mill..."what do I wear for dinner" & "what time does the pool close" type stuff that gets asked about now. Michelle
