Until you experience isla on golf carts... You won't understand... Just ask Nikki&Dave, or Big & Little about our experience a few weeks ago... Or in April when us & Retinyl had an absolute blast.
I think we might plan to do that as they are calling for showers quite a bit when we are down there. Love Temptations and have never left at night to go clubbing.....but last year we took an afternoon and walked the few blocks to that area where pirate ships launch from and had a great time. Also went into the hotel zone our first year just to pick up a few items. We usually find a little excursion away is kind of nice and refreshes you for attacking the sexy pool again.
lol... We know people that did that on the Boobs Cruise... I am usually NOWHERE near sober enough for that... And that's saying a lot.. The more carts the more fun it is!
Isla mujeres is a lot of fun. we did a day trip there from cancun back in july. The golf carts are a blast. a lot of shopping and food. the island is long and thin and the opposite coast is more rocky and natural. lots of shells and rocks. you can drive through the tiny streets and see much. they also have a turtle sanctuary you can get in for $3. we got to hold all kinds of sea animals. Just enough to do for the day. we wnated to do something besides the pre-packaged excursions. I would definitely suggest it.
During the day.... Boobs Cruise! Ha! Well, those don't run every day. So... Hmm. Last time we were at TTR, Midwestern (Kevin & Tamie) gaves us an awesome description of going over to Isla Mujeres on the ferry for a day. Just pop over in the late a.m., rent a golf cart and go a'tooling around the island, stopping to see things you want to see (such as the Iguana Habitat/Sanctuary), little bars, and food stands, and slipping into secluded beaches for a snorkel or ..... whatever. But Hotel Zone during the day? I don't think there's much going on, except going to other hotels and checking them out, but I betcha that once you've been to the Sexy Pool during a good weather day, the other resorts will seem like they are asleep. Or dead.
