Steve had a live video eariler on Facebook of the Payt'O bar getting cleared out and with Chinos up on the bar. In the background you could see the workers carrying out items, so sad to see the old TTR go but can't wait to see what this time next year brings.

They were clearing rooms yesterday morning (pulling out furniture, toilets even)...also removing trees on the property. Someone on FB said they should have everything out in 2 days and will have the building demolished in another day.

 

I kinda figured they would be tearing the place apart quickly to meet the August 2017 reopening, they don't mess around in Mexico.

Agree 100%. The party was awesome, PatyOs was already packed at 8:30 and just got busier. Outfits were in high form and the music after violin stopped was great. Chinos and Omar were partying on the dance floor.

It was a heckuva party. Drones overhead filming too. Wondering where resort is going to post that?

Sunday late morning part of PatyOs was already torn down and we woke to them dragging furniture out of the rooms in our hall. We were one of last out of our hall, I made a walk down and peeked in the rooms. Not a single Apple on the headboard. At end of hall, room 1128 had apparently been a mock up of the new design. Had the new furniture, new jacuzzi, glass shower with round cut out. White, glossy and the swirl look they have had on the artist renderings of the new resort. Looks nice and clean.

The staff in Buffet was putting silverware in bags to take home.

Saturday night Asian was closed as well as margaritas.

Ready for next year.

 

Things happening very quickly from what we seen the last two days there. Look forward to new look!
