As I understand it premier members have black wrist bands and have some additional perks, anyone know what they are, and if it's worth the upgrade and how much? If your a premium member come and find us Jan 30th through Feb 6th and lets hang out LOL!
We have been VIP Premier members for over a decade. We get 25% discounts, priority booking, a butler (to help me dress up in my birthday suit, haha, but also to run chores for Fritz), and other things we negotiated when we made the initial deal which cost us over 30 K $. We had also negotiated a special deal with RCI free membership for the first years, access to the boat cruises and a deal that allows us to convert our investment in a down payment for real estate (like some type of shares in real estate in Mexico). Bottom line, if you plan to spend the equivalent of 40 k over the 20 years or so of your deal (aka on average 2,000 k per year), this is your break even. At 800 US$ to 900 US$ a night regular price for 2 at Desire for example , that means 2.35 nights per year average to make it worth your while. I guess that with rampant inflation these days, this make paying in advance more attractive as you can lock part of the price in a way with a pre-paid membership. Just make sure that you take it easy on the booze when you enter these high pressure sales rooms, in order to stay sharp. These pretty sales women have a way to charm people and influence the men in subtle ways.
Hi and thanks for the quick reply. Is there a such thing as a premium membership without buying into the timeshare thing?
Also - if you have a newer contract you also get a 40% resort credit per stay based on your room cost. We don’t have our own contract but bought in as a beneficiary on someone’s contract. It gives us Premier perks at a fraction of the cost of a contract that we would have negociated ourselves.
We would like to offer to others the ability to become beneficiary on our contract. No way we can use the 30 days a year we have pre-paid for the next 10 years.
Not sure if all contracts allow for beneficiaries. Our contract holders have 4 spots on their contract- they offered it at a reasonable price for us and we hopped in. We signed a notarized contract with them after confirming every details with Premier office and even made the payment directly to Premier. We are now listed as beneficiaries on their contract and get the same benefits except for flyback and RCI which is for members only.
