I want to know too. We usually bring rootbeer shnapps and I also want to bring some sour puss this time too. I know you can't have any liquids in your carry on anymore but, can we have it in or luggage? Does anyone know if they sell either rootbeer shnapps or sour puss in Mexico? I just got to have my 1:00 am shots to keep the party going.
If you are talking about taking bottles of alcohol into Mexico, if you bring them from home you must put them in your checked luggage. If you are talking about buying from Duty Free at your home airport and taking it with you then the bottles will be delivered to just as you board the plane. If you're talking about bring alcohol back from Mexico that you buy at Duty Free at the airport then just as in the States it will be brought to you just as you board the plane. However, if you have a connecting flight on the way home once you have cleared Immigration and Customs in your first point of entry into the States you must then put the bottle in your checked luggage for that connecting flight. But if you purchase it beforehand (like at Wal-Mart) then it must go into your checked luggage. I hope this answers your question.
