    I DON'T BLAME YOU!!!

It's a little of a pain, but once the bugs get worked out, it may be a pretty cool program...

whens its up and running smoothly its much more intuitive than XP, plus its got a smoother feel to it - although it does take a while to iron out the problems. My mate has it, and from a multimedia point of view its pretty cool.

Greta have you checked that your soundcard is compatible with Vista, some of them are not ..... although it should throw up a message saying something like the audio driver is not designed for Vista, and you have to go to a site to download the drivers .....
....this is a very common problem and the manufacturers don't seem to have caught up with the needs of Vista which makes life even more difficult. Depends on what you're using though,.

does the computer recognise that you have a sound device plugged in? (go to the Device Manager and look in the sound controllers..find your one and see if there is a :!: against it!)

if you cant find a resolution, just restore back to the point where you had XP on your system and use that!

I've had it for a couple of months on a new Dell laptop without any problems. It is the Vista Home Premium. It does take time to get things set after first using it as compared to XP Media Center that I have on my PC. Make sure you visit the Microsoft website and check for new downloads that are constantly coming out. I personally like XP better but once I got Vista down it will be much better. I feel it was released to early and will take a few patches to get off the issues taken care of
