If you read the travel advisory it says be careful as always when u travel in mexico but specifically points out certain areas that are dangerous. Those areas are as close to cancun as.......lets say you would be traveling to dallas texas and were worried about crime in seattle WA. Far far away from cancun. Be careful, stay around people u know and trust and have the trip of your lifetime!!!!:xyxthumbs:
That reminds of a joke I told in cancun that I hear there A state trooper in florida pulls a guy over late one night for speeding... the trooper says to the guy, " Listen my shift is almost over and Id rather not have the paper work, so if you can give me a good reason as to why you were speeding, ill let ya go. So the guy thinks for a second and looks at the trooper and says " a few years ago my wife ran off with a state trooper and well officer , I thought you were bringing her back"... " Have a good night" the trooper said
we go every year, never heard of any problems...and we hit the clubs a few times while we are there......!!!!!!!!!!!!
There are really ignorant people like Neil Bortz and Bill O'Reily fanning this flame....even though there are some real issues in some areas of Mexico its nothing to worry about in Cancun. It would be like hearing about gang issues in LA and then being afraid to go to Orlando...but that doesnt stop the idiots from promoting fear mongering
We got married in Cancun a couple years ago and the amount of people that said "You can't do that.. they kill Canadian's in Mexico" just made me laugh. The news media builds up the fear if you don't know better you take it as the truth. Don't feel embarrassed about asking the question.
Hope you enjoy your stay Sorry about the sarcasm but once your a regular on cc you'll see where it comes from
guys you will be fine what has happened here is just another great example of how the media refuses to "report the news" and tries to "make the news" "reporting the news" is generally factual, documented, specific and less sensational "making the news" tends to be more generalized, totally embellished, and with a total disregard to the complex reality of a given situation most of what you see, read and hear about mexico and traveling there are people trying to "making news" or people "making up news" that is utterly worhtless information either way - this is the reason why i take every thing i hear and see (especially on tv) with a grain of salt .....................they report very little real accurtate news its not so much that the news is funny as much as it is just plain fucking sad just sayin hope this helps the best rob
