I "train" hard year round, and still that first day always becomes a gong show. I couldn't imagine going cold turkey before the trip. Afterwards I often think it's a pretty good idea though.
Omg....I wish! Could the days draaaaaaag on any slower?? Its like a very slow torture! :ranting1:Lol Then once we get there BAM! our 12 nts we are there will be over before we know it! SO unfair!! :icon_confused: Jess
Haha! I had to laugh at this one! Only because that has happened to me more then I care to admit! I have a tendency to blackout quite often when I drink & have been surprised(or embaressed :icon_eek: )on more then one occasion when I have had to be told the next day by my hubby what Ive "supposedly" done or reminded who we talked to the night before!:doh:Glad its not just me! Lol Jess
Thanks for your troop's service and your support of your troop. My wife and I have been through the same thing that you are going through however I never was on a dry deployment even though roughly the same part of the world. Back then we took our own. Not sure I agree with today's policy either. We will get to TTR one day before you. Sure would like to meet you guys. Henry and Kathy. The old couple. USAF 1966-1988
We are totally in the practice camp, I even notice my tolerance dip week-to-week. We've been in training since September! September 2008 that is....LOL
