We'll be back in full drinking mode by the time we hit TTR!!! Can't wait... for him to be home and to get away from it ALL!!!
i'll be dry leading up to the trip .. though thats mainly because i have a couple of races before the trip. I just did my 8km race today (legs are suuuper sore) and I have a 10km race the day before i fly out! I very much plan on making up for this dry spell at the resort ... afterwards i have to train up for a half-marathon in June !
Following our first visit back in January, I decided I needed a break, and had a dry February, not touching a drop of alcohol the entire month. I don't drink regularly (i.e. every day) but do like to drink on the weekends. Giving this up just cleared my head and I felt much better for it. I would certainly consider doing this for the month before going on our next trip, simply to get myself into great form before hitting it hard and partying for 2 weeks straight again!
That is awesome. I thank him for his service and to you for your support and dedication as a military spouse! Neither is an easy task. :usa1:
I'm in the same situation as your husband, unfortunantly I will be going straight from here to Cancun with zero days to prepare. I made the mistake last deployment and went to Oktoberfest, let's just say the first night could have easily turned into a "Hostel" movie sequence....do not remember a thing. Will not make same mistake twice.
yep a little practice is usually need. have not drank much at all all winter. when we do have a couple of drinks, wow i can drink 5 beers and stagger!!!! kinda embarrasing!!! so i think i need to practice once a week until we get there. cant be hung over and miss the whole vac.
I have taken the opposite approach.....I consider the month before the trip as "spring training".....I am working hard getting ready for the "season" to start:ernaehrung015:
Yeah thats a no for us, that just sounds like cruel and unusual punishment.. Couldn't imagine not having a glass or two of wine after a hard days work.. I think we would be total basket cases by the time we got to Temptations.
